Code of Ethics

JRNI is accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). As an ICF Professional, I am bound by the ICF Code of Ethics.

Both the International Coaching Federation and JRNI take diversity and inclusion very seriously. There is a growing, collective focus on social justice accompanied by a significant rise in folks committed to learning about and unlearning oppressive behaviors and calling for an end to oppressive systems.

In coaching, this work is all about repairing our social contracts with one another by learning that we all live unique stories and coming to understand the different lenses through which others live their stories

We learn, through the ICF code of ethics and ICF core competencies, to detach from any sense of rightness that we may have to our own lens and our own story so that we can hold space and expertly facilitate growth and movement for others.

The ICF Code of Ethics directly addresses individual and systemic inequality, power and status, feelings of superiority or inferiority, privilege, societal hierarchy, internal conflicts, discrimination, as well as conscious and unconscious bias.
